We’re already a month into 2018, have you set your vision for the year or years ahead?
What is the vision for your business and the life that you want to create?
If you’re looking for helping in creating your vision, you can download your free step by step guide here
A vision is your inspiration. Your WHY. Running a business can be tough and creating that vision serves as a reminder of your end destination of success. You may not be able to see the clear path on how you’re going to create it but it’s the end destination.
Creating a vision is the starting point of you articulating the future you want to create. This is your collective inspiration. A place to capture your WHY. Why your business exists, why you do what you do, why you strive to reach your goals in business. Many of us will have set targets and goals for the year ahead. Goals may be financial targets and ones we can quantify success. As a business owner, it’s helpful to be clear on what those financial targets will enable us to do – which come from our vision.
The best known way to achieve your goals is to keep them top of mind, so you’re always looking for ways to move yourself closer to them – and a vision board is the perfect tool to help you do that. Visualisation is a proven technique with Olympic athletes. The athletes who picture themselves crossing the finish line first are more likely to do it. By completing a vision board, you’ll have clarity and motivation on what it is that you want to, and will achieve. The next step once you’ve done this is to turn those inspirations into tangible goals and plans – your roadmap as to how you’ll get there.
Once you have your vision, your inspiration for the year ahead, it’s time to get more detailed on the goals that will ensure your vision is achieved. This includes weekly, monthly, quarterly and then annual goals.
